Congrats to “Grey’s Anatomy” star Giacomo Gianniotti, who announced on Instagram yesterday that he proposed to Nichole over the holiday weekend. “She said yes,” the 28-year-old captioned a pic of the two embraced in a kiss in L.A. “I am truly one lucky guy, and I wouldn’t rather be walking down this crazy road of life with anyone else. I love you. Thank you.” The actor, who plays Dr. Andrew DeLuca on the ABC show, also shared his sentiments in Italian. Nichole, a makeup artist, posted this image saying, “Yesterday my best friend asked me to marry him in the most romantic way, a day reliving our love. We are thrilled. I wouldn’t want to do this life with anyone else. I love you baby and can’t wait to be your wife.” She also shared a video of a room leading to a balcony covered in rose petals he sprinkled for the proposal.

Outspoken Susan Sarandon, who backed independent Jill Stein in the presidential election, says she’s glad Hillary Clinton lost. “I did think she was very, very dangerous,” she told the Guardian regarding Clinton. “We would still be fracking, we would be at war [if she had won]. It wouldn’t be much smoother. Look what happened under Obama that we didn’t notice.” She said that while Barack Obama fought hard for healthcare, he deported even more people than Trump – he just did it ‘sneakily.’ The actress was attached by Clinton supporters online, including Debra Messing, so much so that she says she had to c hanger her phone number after receiving countless violent, threatening messages.

Ava Phillippe Bal des Debutantes 2017Ava Phillippe, daughter of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe, dazzled the crowd at Saturday’s 25th annual Bal des Debutantes in Paris. She was one of 20 young women being introduced to society and looked smashing in a gold ball gown designed by Giambattista Valli haute Couture. Her escort was Maharaja Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur, who twirled her around to a song from “La La Land” on the dance floor.

Producers of “House of Cards” informed the cast and crew that the show will have an extended hiatus of two weeks, but they are hoping to resume filming, even though the leading man Kevin Spacey was fired. The letter, published in The Hollywood Reporter, states, “We continue to work with Netflix with the hope of resuming production soon. As we continue these discussions…the crew will be paid for an additional two week hiatus.” They also said the production “is bigger than just one person” and they were proud of their loyal and talented cast and crew.

Have a splendid start to your week!
