Katie Holmes spent a very public day out in New York with daughter Suri yesterday. The two visited Children’s Museum of the Arts in the morning before lunch with friends at the kid-friendly Alice’s Tea Cup. Meanwhile, it seems Katie dropped some hints about her split from Tom Cruise to Elle in May in an interview that will be in the issue that hits newsstands later this month. Saying she was about to embark on a “new phase,” Katie told the magazine, “He has been Tom Cruise for 30 years. I know who I am and where I am and where I want to go, so I want to focus on that.”
Congratulations go out to Claire Danes after the actress announced she’s pregnant. The 33-year-old is married to Hugh Dancy, who she met on the set of the film “Evening.” It will be the first child for the couple. That’s a good gene pool!
The Kim Kardashian – Kris Humphries divorce just got a little more complicated after Kris’ ex-girlfriend revealed she’s pregnant, according to TMZ. Myla Sinanaj is apparently three months along and says Kris is definitely the father. This could become very important in the divorce since Kris claims the split from Kim left him emotionally devastated but a baby could show he actually moved on quickly. Looks like this is one rebound Kris is going to regret grabbing!!!
Rihanna is suing her former accountants say they cost her tens of millions over a five-year period. Using her real name of Robyn Fenty, she claims Berdon LLP failed to properly advise her when her tours were losing money. She also claims they set it up so they received their profits from the gross receipts, giving them no incentive to help her reduce costs.
Many hip-hop stars are standing up for rapper Frank Ocean after he publicly announced he’s gay. Ocean has written songs for Beyonce, Justin Bieber, John Legend and Brandy and appeared on two tracks on the Jay-Z / Kanye West collaboration “Watch the Throne.” Russell Simmons, head of Ocean’s label Def Jam, said “Your decision to go public about your sexual orientation gives hope and light to so many young people still living in fear.”
The man who made a fortune with nothing has announced he’s set to debut a new show. Jerry Seinfeld will launch “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” on Crackle, a digital web network. The series, which debuts July 19, features Jerry driving around with buddies like Larry David, Ricky Gervais, Michael Richards and Alec Baldwin.
While “The Amazing Spider-Man” will certainly rule the box office this weekend after already setting the record for a Tuesday opening, it’s not the only movie debuting this week. There’s also the Oliver Stone flick “Savages” with Aaron Johnson, Taylor Kitsch and Blake Lively as well as the Katy Perry concert film “Part of Me.”
Happy Friday! Enjoy the weekend!
