“American Idol” will have a new look next year after Steven Tyler quit the show and Jennifer Lopez came just short of doing the same. “I strayed from my first love, Aerosmith, and I’m back,” Tyler said in a statement yesterday. Meanwhile, J-Lo was on the “Today” show and she said “I am thinking that it’s time for me to go” when asked about a third season. There’s also word the even Randy Jackson may be leaving the judges table, although he would still be around the show. He could be transitioning into a mentoring role next year, according to Us Weekly. The magazine also reports producers are in serious talks with Mariah Carey to take over one of the open spots. It won’t matter who they get unless it’s a new Simon who will rip a contestant when they deserve it!!!

Former “Melrose Place” star Grant Show is engaged. He popped the question to actress Katherine LaNasa and the pair plan to get hitched later this year. It will be the second marriage for Show and the third for LaNasa, who previously was married to Dennis Hopper and French Stewart. Hopper, Stewart and Show. No one can accuse her of having a type!!!

Meanwhile, celebrity chef Curtis Stone and actress Lindsay Price are also engaged. Curtis confirmed the news on WNBC’s “New York Live” yesterday. The couple is already parents to son Hudson who was born in November.

Justin Bieber fans are known for being loud but one woman is claiming they made so much noise, her hearing was permanently damaged and now she wants Biebs to pay up. Stacey Wilson Betts is suing for more than $9 million due to injuries she claims she suffered when she took her daughter a show in 2010, according to TMZ. She claims the singer incited the crowd to scream and the noise was amplified by the staging. Have you even been to a concert before?!?!?

They may have started as teen idols but the Rolling Stones are now eligible for AARP. The iconic British rockers celebrated the 50th anniversary of their first gig yesterday. Only Mick Jagger and Keith Richards are still around from that original lineup that took the stage at a club in London. The band is celebrating their golden anniversary with a photo exhibition and hopes to take the stage for a new tour later this year. And they still rock harder than most of today’s bands!!!

It will be a battle the box office this weekend as the extinct animals of “Ice Age” try to knock “Spider-man” from the top spot. “Ice Age: Continental Drift” is the fourth movie in the franchise. It features an all-star voice cast including Ray Romano, Denis Leary and John Leguizamo in their now familiar roles.
