Halle Berry was rushed to the hospital yesterday after suffering a minor injury to the head during a film shoot. She was on the set of her upcoming film, “The Hive,” when the incident occurred. She was treated at a Los Angeles hospital as a precaution, but was released shortly afterward.
During London’s premiere of “The Dark Knight Rises,” director Christopher Nolan found himself defending the negative reviews. “I think the fans are very passionate about these characters the way a lot of people are passionate. Batman’s been around for over 70 years and there’s a reason for that.” He also said the suggestion that the villain in the movie, Bane, was an attempt to make disparaging links to Mitt Romney’s former company Bain Capital was “bizarre. I don’t really have an answer for it.” Morgan Freeman, who portrays Lucius Fox, called the notion “ridiculous.”
Despite legal issues and a recent car crash, Lindsay Lohan’s career seems to be unscathed from the drama. The actress just landed a movie role in “The Canyons,” about ambition and sex among 20-somethings living in L.A. “American Gigolo” director Paul Schrader is directing the film, which was “a big part of the reason she did this,” according to her publicist. You know what they say…all press is good press!
George Clooney and Stacy Keibler are taking their relationship to the next level. The couple flew both their parents to the actor’s Lake Como, Italy home. They were spotted walking around town together and having ice cream. TMZ says this is not common for George to introduce his ladies to his family.
While on Howard Stern’s radio show, Russell Brand was rather positive about his divorce from Katy Perry. “She’s a good person; I’ve got nothing but love for her,” he said. So why the divorce? “I was really, really in love with her, but it was difficult to see each other…it mostly didn’t work out for practical reasons. We did work it out – she’s happy, I’m happy.” He also said they had different goals. “She’s young, successful and dedicated. [The reality is] you can’t fully understand it until you do it. I was really into the idea of marriage and having children.” As for foregoing half of her $40 million fortune she amassed during their marriage he said, “I’ve got a good job. All I want to do is I want to live a good life…I don’t need it.” Who knew he was such a mensch???
Enjoy your Thursday! Go out and celebrate the unofficial start to the weekend!
