A judge granted Sheryl Crow a temporary restraining order against a man who threatened to shoot her, reports TMZ. Phillip Gordon Sparks, 45, is to stay at least 100 yards away from her and not attempt to contact the Grammy winner. He allegedly went on tirades online saying she stole money from him and broke into his house. So, he said he was going to “just shoot” her. He even addressed his wishes to the SAG/AFTRA union and threatened Harvey Weinstein, as he believed the movie exec was filming him and stole money from him too. Oh what a looney tune!

OMG! Bret Michaels either has cold feet or some buried commitment issues.  He and his longtime gal Kristi Gibson have called off their engagement. “Although the couple have separated, they remain great friends and are committed to jointly raising their two daughters” (Raine Elisabeth and Jorja Bleu), read a statement from his rep. It took him 16 (!) years to propose to Gibson and he finally did it on Dec. 2, 2010 on his VH1 reality show, “Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It.”

Two new singers have surfaced as potential “American Idol” judges. Nick Jonas, 19, and rapper Pharrell Williams, 39, are rumored to be the frontrunners to fill vacant seats at the judges’ table. Mariah Carey has signed on in place of Jennifer Lopez, and Steven Tyler is out. The wild card is Randy Jackson, who Us Weekly reports will be moving into a “mentoring role” on the contest. “Nick is pretty close to signing on to be the ‘Idol’ judge,” an insider revealed. “They flew him to L.A. last week for final meetings.” As for Williams, he is said to be amidst negotiations for his deal, “working out details.”

So long, “Weeds!” Showtime announced the series, starring Mary-Louise Parker, will conclude with a Sept. 16th finale. Laura Linney’s “The Big C” will also wrap its run this season with four one-hour episodes. Safe shows include “Homeland” and “Dexter,” which will begin their new seasons on Sept. 30.
