NBC hit back yesterday after Sharon Osbourne told the New York Post that she’s quitting the show because her son the network fired her son, Jack, two days prior to costarring on the reality show “Stars Earn Stripes.” He was recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, but Chairman Bob Greenblatt said the network “does not discriminate on any basis” and that Jack was offered two roles on the show, but declined both.

In other reality news…Khloe Kardashian is one of six candidates being seriously considered to host the “X Factor,” reports TMZ. However, she doesn’t have the gig in the bag just yet – producers say she will need a screen tests over the next two weeks to see if she has hosting chops.

Michael Phelps collected a record 22 Olympic medals and then nabbed a blonde, aspiring model in London. Megan Rossee posted this photo on Instagram of the two of them together Sunday night with the caption, “Yay Michael.” The two have been dating since January, according to Hollyscoop.com. ‘Great way to get some quick publicity! She’s probably giving Khloe Kardashian some competition as a potential host now on “X Factor”!

He’s been in seclusion with good reason lately, but Robert Pattinson is ready for a tell-all. The “Twilight” star is set to do a live interview on “Good Morning America” next Wednesday, Aug. 15 and will no doubt be lending some insights as to how he feels about Kristen Stewart cheating on him. “Rob’s a total mess, trying to figure out why Kristen did this,” a source told Us Weekly. He’s also expected to hit a red carpet two nights earlier.
