A judge granted Sheryl Crow a three-year restraining order against a man who threatened to shoot her. Superior Court Judge James Hahn issued an order requiring Philip Gordon Sparks to not contact or meet the singer/songwriter for the next three years. Sparks also threatened Harvey Weinstein, saying the two of them stole money from him, so Weinstein was granted a three-year restraining order as well. During the hearing, a psychiatrist described him as “dangerous.”
The man famous for playing the class loser Arnold Horshack on “Welcome Back, Kotter” passed away yesterday morning at his home in Palm Beach, FL. Ron Palillo, who co-founded a community theater at the age of 14, suffered a heart attack and was found by his longtime companion, Joseph Gramm, according to TMZ. The 63-year-old was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. Sorry to hear that – thanks for the laughs, Ron. RIP.
Anderson Cooper is licking his hurt wounds in Croatia. The CNN anchor was already reportedly on vacation with his longtime beau, Ben Maisani, when Ben was busted in photographs smooching another man. Cooper is now said to be with some of his celebrity pals, including TV host Andy Cohen. A source told Life & Style the two did not have an open relationship and that Cooper was hit hard by the betrayal.
Singer Bobby Brown is back in rehab. His wife and manager, Alicia Etheredge, told Radar Online that he’s “doing great” with his treatment for addictive issues. She would not confirm whether it was for alcohol, but the former husband of Whitney Houston did have a long battle with alcohol addiction.
D’oh! Duane “Dog” Chapman was set to appear on another reality show, “Celebrity Big Brother” in the U.K. but was denied a visa due to a murder conviction in 1976. The incident stemmed from having been with a friend who went to buy marijuana, but after the friend got into a argument with the dealer, he shot him. “It’s something that follows you the rest of your life, no matter who you become or who you are,” the 59-year-old stated. “In Texas in the late 70s, if you were present, you were just as guilty,” he explained. He was sentenced to five years, but was paroled after 18 months. Bummer.
